Every community contains an essential duty to provide assistance to those who need it , to support those who face challenges and to bring light into the lives of people who experience darkness. Sidboy Social Welfare Foundation (SSWF) began its mission in September 2022 to fulfil this essential duty with sincere dedication. SSWF exists as a tribute to Siddhant Dhawan who passed away on 16th August 2019 while continuing his mission to serve others through selfless compassion , hope and humanity.
Today, in just three financial years, SSWF stands as a testimony to what collective goodwill, donor support, and tireless service can achieve. Licensed under Section 8 of the Companies Act, registered with Niti Aayog, and holding 80G and 12A recognition under the Income Tax Act, SSWF is not just compliant—it is committed, transparent, and dedicated to making an impact that counts.
The Services That Touch Lives
From its very inception, SSWF has remained focused on one principle: every drop counts. The Foundation started with minimal efforts which evolved into a mission that has benefited more than five lakh people through , promoters’s zeal besides donations , support and blessings from over 150 supporters who believed in its mission.
The services SSWF provides are diverse yet united by the thread of compassion:
- Medical Support: Continuous, though limited, aid to cancer patients, helping them fight their battles with dignity.
- Coordination for Medical Supplies: Large-scale coordination to deliver medicines and supplies to partner NGOs, multiplying the reach of every contribution.
- Educational Support: Empowering underprivileged children and youth through learning and opportunities.
- Women Empowerment: Offering marriage support and counselling, ensuring women find strength and stability in critical moments.
- Langar Distribution: Perhaps the soul of SSWF’s work—large-scale, multi-location langar distribution, both open and packed. From Delhi to NCR, meals of hope have been served tirelessly to thousands.
- Seasonal Drives: Blanket distribution on Lohri and Makar Sankranti, clothing drives offering both new and old garments, and T-shirt campaigns with the SSWF logo to spread awareness. •
- Village Adoption: Families in villages have been adopted with local NGO support, extending care where it matters the most.
Langar: More Than Just Food
The community kitchen tradition of Langar stands as the core foundation of SSWF. The Sidboy Social Welfare Foundation launched its multi-site langar service program throughout Delhi and NCR starting from December 2022. SSWF organizes food distribution events during Lohri and Makar Sankranti and Maha Shivratri and Baisakhi and Founder’s Day and New Year to provide meals that come with love. Once this SEWA was initiated SSWF achieved a few milestones:
- In December 2022 alone, more than 45,000 needy individuals were served.
- In January 2023, this number touched another 50000 beneficiaries— doubling the initial target of Jan 2023 of 25,000.
- Founder’s Day (14th November) and Guru Nanak Jayanti are celebrated with massive langar and clothing drives across Delhi-NCR.
- In 2023 and 2024 , 23 kheer distribution locations and 10 langar locations were organized in a single day, showcasing the strength of collaboration , precise playing and implementation.
- Through out 2024 and 2025 langar services are being provided on the above mentioned dates/ days.
- SSWF also published its annual langar distribution schedule which included specific dates for service: 1st Jan, 2nd Feb, Maha Shivratri, Baisakhi (13th April), 31st May, 7th July, 16th Aug, 14th Nov, and 20th Dec. The organization demonstrates both service dedication and strategic planning through its systematic approach where not even a single untoward incident has been highlighted till date.
A Story of Compliance and Transparency
Being a statutorily complaint NGO, the Foundation’s bankers, RBL Bank, serve as custodians of the contributions. Donations are now made directly to the account of Sidboy Social Welfare Foundation (through UPI SAPANDHAWAN38@OKHDFCBANK), and donors are encouraged to share screenshots along with their PAN + ADAAR card copies for record and regulatory purposes. The UPI based donation initiative was just to discourage cash donation deposits in RBL Bank account.
All overhead expenses are being borne by the promoters. No part of donations is being earmarked for any sort of overhead expenses. This policy has been adopted since inception of SSWF. Having said this, for last 18 months or so, the contributions are either from the promoters of SSWF or the donors are being requested to pay material vendors directly for Langar or other service line items. This brings in more transparency and confidence in the entire process. Besides encouraging donor volunteers to be participate and be physically present on the designated SEWA DAY.
Milestones of Hope
- Five Lakh Touches: From langars to blankets, from cancer patients to women in need, the foundation has already touched five lakh lives.
- 150 Strong Donar family : A growing family of supporters who believe in “Think Big – Do Big – For the Needy – Dil Se.”
- Collaborations: Associations with organizations like Yuva Ekta India Foundation and The Earth Saviours to expand reach and multiply efforts.
- Founder’s Day Legacy: Transforming Siddhant Dhawan’s birth anniversary into a celebration of giving.
Mission and Vision
SSWF’s mission is simple yet powerful: Just Started. This is just, but the beginning. The Foundation plans to use its current achievements as a foundation to create more substantial accomplishments and achieve even bigger goals in the coming years. The end goal being to set up a self-sustaining Old Age Home.

Be it distributing food, clothing, or medical aid, the work is done not as charity but as sewa, selfless service. The foundation has received official recognition for its work. The Corporate Connect Global organization included SSWF in their Company of the Year 2024 edition during 2024. The organization continues its mission after receiving this recognition. SSWF continues to gain community support while developing new programs which will enable it to create more substantial changes in 2025 and subsequent years.
